Information

TitleNetflow or MirrorN traffic is not being sent to the PurView Appliance from the Virtual Controller
Symptoms
  • Netflow is not being sent to the PurView Appliance from the Virtual Controller.
  • EWC port mirror is not mirroring traffic
  • EWC port mirror is not working
Environment
  • V2110 Small
  • Firmware 9.21.01
  • PurView
  • Netflow
  • Port Mirror
Cause
For the small V2110, it only has 2 cpu cores. There is no dedicated core for the NetFlow collector. That is why the 4 cpu core medium v2110 works fine.
Resolution
  • No workaround at this time on the V2110 small, further investigation is being done to support Netflow with only a two core V2110 small deployment.
  • 9.21.03 release notes state: Purview integration for V2110 requires at least 3 CPU cores allocated to the VM. By default, the V2110-Small OVA creates a VM with only 2 cores. To enable PurView integration the V2110 must be reconfigured with at least one additional core (3 VCPU).
