Symptoms
Dot1x authentication is successful still PC does not get an IP address.
For testing disable dot1x still PC does not get an IP address.


 
Environment
  • EXOS
  • ExtremeControl (policy manager) 
  • One Policy
  • default role
Cause
One policy has a deny condition for UDP source port 67 or a deny all condition and that policy is accidentally assigned to up-link port via which the server reply packet will ingress the switch.
Resolution
Make sure the intended / correct default role is set for the up-link port.
