Environment
  • EXOS switch
  • EoS switch
  • Wireless Controller
  • Netsight 6.3
  • SNMP
Cause
  • This error may occur happen if the SNMP write community is incorrect. COS state is the first OID set from an enforcement hence this error
Resolution
  • verify that the SNMP write community is correct
Additional notes
Note that on EoS (Legacy Enterasys OS) the default read and write snmpV1 community is public.  For XoS and wireless controllers the defaults are public for read and private for write.
