Symptoms

Netsight of any version does not start the background servlet running on the same machine when simultaneously the third party software “Desktop Central → ManageEngine.” from manageengine.com has been installed on the same machine.

 

 

 

 

Environment
Windows 2008 server
Cause
The reason for this is that bought software sites are listening on the same TCP ports. In the Netsight logs you will see exception like failure to bind to the port.
Resolution
There is no other solutions so far available thus just do delete the third party software or not use Netsight. By removing the third party software and rebooting the TCP socket will be freed and Netsight will be able to bind to it
