Cause
When cameras do video streaming, the network is flooded with multicast packets causing network outages, when IGMP is not scoped properly
Resolution
Configure the S-Series accordingly
set cos port-resource flood-ctrl 0.0 multicast unit pps rate 200 trap enable syslog enable
set cos settings 0 flood-ctrl enable
set cos syslog flood-ctrl enable-extended
set cos state enable
set cos settings 0 drop 0 flood-ctrl enable
Additional notes
The flood-ctrl is used to limit the level of flooded traffic to protect the network. It will also identify high levels of flooding (eg unscoped multicast )
