Symptoms
The EXOS switch does not send SNMP traps
Environment
ExtremeXOS (EXOS)
Cause
The "Version: v2c Type:" parameter of the "SNMP Notification Receivers" has not been configured with the "Trap" notification. 
Example of a misconfigured system: 
show management

SNMP Notification Receivers :
Destination Address : 198.51.100.4:162
Source Address : Not Configured
Virtual Routers : VR-Mgmt
Version : v2c Type : Not Configured
Timeout : - Retries : -

 
Resolution
Add the following command line to the configuration: 
configure snmpv3 add notify "defaultNotify" tag "defaultNotify" type trap

Then, type "
show management" and make sure the notification ahead of "Version: v2c Type:" is set to “trap” 
 
show management

SNMP Notifications : Enabled
SNMP Notification Receivers :
Destination Address : 198.51.100.4:162
Source Address : 198.51.100.5
Virtual Routers : VR-Mgmt
Version : v2c Type : Trap
Timeout : - Retries : -
