« Go Back

Information

TitlePacket loss when "mirror to" port is down
Symptoms
Switch is experiencing packet loss when the "mirror to" port is down
Environment
All EXOS
Cause
When the "mirror to" port is down, the switch is still trying to mirror the traffic to the destination. When there is no place to forward the traffic to, the switch experiences congestion and new packets will be dropped. This is expected behavior.
Resolution
Either disable the mirror that has the down port or bring the down port to an active state.
