TitlePacket losses on traffic destined to forward router
Pinging from Juniper to VDX "ve" gateway, which results in packet loss.

Pinging from VDX to Juniper no packet drops.

User needs no packet loss as they need to monitor Ve on VDX for traffic. = Ve on VDX = Juniper Ip
Software Release: 5.0.2a
Fixed in Version: N/A
On the VDX the default is 1000 milliseconds - ICMP rate limit. Juniper Interval <interval> Delay between ping requests (seconds) and VDX ICMP rate limit need to match.

This would also be likely for other vendors network equipment.
Match the interval 0.2 on Juniper to the VDX 200 ms.

1. VDX(config-rbridge-Ve-10)# ip icmp rate-limiting 200 <--- This is setting to match the Juniper ping interval 0.2.
2. Confirm

Mike@JUNIPER-CORE1> routing-instance MANAGE interval 0.2 count 100

round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 1.323/3.307/57.122/6.702 ms

NOTE: This is an interface-specific configuration that is persistent across a switch reload.
