Symptoms
In following topology SW1 can't ping SW2 in the same VLAN:

If remove connection between SW1 and MLAG-peer1, communication restores.
Environment
  • BD8K
  • EXOS 15.x,16.x
  • MLAG
Cause
The root cause is xos0070008.
The issue can be only triggered when Trunk ID for ISC link equals 0:

Resolution
To avoid the issue upgrade to EXOS version where xos0070008 is fixed.

Additional notes
As a workaround you can try to reboot MLAG peer with ISC Trunk ID 0. It is possible that ISC link will get Trunk ID different from 0 and the issue will not be triggered.
