TitleRebooting and upgrading X670 switch not showing GBIC type and no link status (Link down)
Symptoms

  • Rebooting and upgrading X670 switch running version EXOS 15.3.3.5 and upgraded version EXOS 15.5.4.2 it cannot recognize the GBIC type and no link status at all.
  • The “I2C read/write failure” error message generated in switch logs.
  • Issue did not solve even after unplug and plug, disable and enable and replace GBIC. However, the port up is still down.
