« Go Back

Information

TitleS-Series OSPF route table showing status of "reject"
Symptoms
S-Series OSPF route table showing status of "reject"
Environment
  • S-Series
  • All firmware versions
Cause
  • Misconfiguration of OSPF routes using the range command may cause conflict
  • OSPF Range is used to summarize routes between ABR routers
Resolution
Review OSPF commands that may include the "range" subset such as:
area 0.0.0.255 range 192.168.0.0 255.255.0.0
Additional notes
Note: If OSPF "range" commands are being used appropriately, check OSPF database for duplicate Router-IDs.  This can also cause "reject" routes being added.
