TitleSNMPv3 EngineBoots and EngineTime objects are not correctly maintained in SummitStack.
Symptoms
In SummitStack when try to poll it using SNMPv3, stack will return unpredictable values of EngineBoot and EngineTime objects in case master failover occurred.

Trying SNMPv3 get:
$ snmpget -v 3 -u test -A testtest 10.67.73.31 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0

1) initial state
User-added image

EngineBoots: 229
EngineTime:  2506

2) after 1st failover
User-added image

EngineBoots: 572
EngineTime:  2637

3) after 2nd failover
User-added image

EngineBoots: 230
EngineTime:  385
 
Environment
  • EXOS 15.x, 16.x, 21.x
  • SummitStack
  • SNMP
Cause
Such behaviour is observed because mentioned objects are maintained per node. Returned object values are specific to current master node. It will be changed via xos0058499.
Resolution
Upgrade to EXOS version where xos0058499 is implemented.
