Environment
  • ExtremeCloud IQ
  • All firmware
  • SR2200 and SR2300 series switches
  • HiveAgent/IQAgent 1.1.29.0 or later
Cause
This can be caused by either of the following:
  • The HiveAgent file has a wrong md5 sum
  • The serial number (SN) of the switch added on XIQ is wrong
Resolution
1. Compare the switch serial number added on XIQ with the one seen in the output of the CLI show ver to make sure they match
2. Check the md5 sum of the HiveAgent image files to make sure the md5 sum doesn't change before and after the files are placed or uploaded to the tftp or ftp server
3. If ftp instead of tftp is used for HiveAgent file transfer, make sure the file transfer type is set to "Binary" when uploading the file to the ftp server
4. Manually reinstall the HiveAgent to 1.1.29.0 or later again, or upgrade the switch OS to 1.0.1.28 or later
