TitleSecureStack switch fails to boot with "memPartFree: invalid block" error messages
Symptoms
  • Unit fails to complete boot process after firmware upgrade
  • Serial console session display errors similar to what is shown below:

  • Firmware 6.03 and older
Cause
Please read the "Installation and Configuration Notes" documented in the release notes for a more detailed information.
 
Resolution
  1. Connect a PC running a VT Terminal Emulation to the serial console port of the switch.
  2. Select option "2" when switch presents the two boot options available. Example:

  1. Select option 9 to reset configuration to factory defaults.
  2. Select option 8 to reset the system.
