Symptoms

Goal

  • Using the CLI  or Cloud IQ to set a static IP, subnet, and subsequent network settings.
Environment
  • Any HiveOS device.
Cause
Resolution
Set Through CLI

Note: You may shorten interface to int.

View Network info:

  • show interface mgt0

Setting the IP and Netmask:

  • interface mgt0 ip <ip>/</yy format netmask>

Setting the Default Gateway:

  • ip route default gateway <address>

Setting the VLANs:

  • interface mgt0 vlan # - Management VLAN
  • interface mgt0 native # - Native VLAN (Untagged)

Set DNS :

  • dns server-ip <ip>
    • Optional:
      • dns server-ip <ip> second
      • dns server-ip <ip> third
Set Through Cloud IQ
Go to Manage > Devices > click on the AP > Configure > Device configuration > IPV4 > Static Address, after change, click on save and update.
