Information

TitleSiem: Emails sent by the SIEM contain a link to a report that is incorrect
Symptoms
Emails sent by the SIEM contain a link to a report that is incorrect.

Environment
Siem v7.x
Cause
The CONSOLE_FQDN variable within the /store/configservices/staging/globalconfig/nva.conf file contains an incorrect reference to the fully qualified domain name.
Resolution
The NVA.conf file cannot be modified manually.   The qchange_netsetup command needs to be run to modify this file/variable:

1. Run the command:
grep -i CONSOLE_FQDN /store/configservices/staging/globalconfig/nva.conf

confirm the variable:  CONSOLE_FQDN is incorrect (should be set to the fully qualified domain name).

2. Unmanage all the managed hosts through the deployment editor
3. Run the command:  qchange_netsetup
when prompted for the hostname, put in a temp name (eg. test.local)

4. When completed, reboot the machine.
5. Rerun qchange_netsetup, putting in the valid fully qualified domain name of your system.

6. run the command:
grep -i CONSOLE_FQDN /store/configservices/staging/globalconfig/nva.conf

You should now see this variable set properly to your FQDN hostname.

7. rerun the report and confirm the link is now working correctly.
