TitleSince upgrading to 10.01.03.0007 code, all Microsoft Surface 3 devices running Windows 10 have issues, AP3705 and AP3715
Symptoms
Client connection issues on the AP3705 and AP3715 ExtremeWireless Access Point after the upgrade to 10.01.03:
  • End devices not getting an IP address.
  • End devices failing to reassociate to an Access Point after moving to another location.
  • End devices not associating to the Access Point Radio.
Environment
  • ExtremeWireless Virtual appliances
  • AP3705 and AP3715
  • firmware 9.21.04, 10.01.03, 10.01.04
  • Windows Surface 3 laptops
  • Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 and 7265
Cause
Couple factors found in the trace logs - radio resets, Advanced radio settings - could be contributing to the overall poor client experience.
Resolution
  • Recommend upgrade to 10.01.06 for client connection issues.
  • Radio settings should be set to Best Practice.
  • Radio crashes are fixed in 10.01.05.
  • Also recommend upgrading the Intel drivers to 18.33.3.2.
