Cause

Resolution

Please contact Extreme Networks GTAC for troubleshooting if you see these error messages on the following model switches:

  • Summit X450e
  • Summit X450a
  • Summit X250e

Try booting the switch with the different image for Summit X440 and X670-G2:

  1. Reboot the switch by unplugging the power and plugging it back.
  2. Press and hold the spacebar when prompted to enter the BOOTROM.
  3. Select the image that is currently not used type the command "boot 1" or "boot 2." The "show image" command will display the default image.
If the above steps prove unsuccessful, see the following articles below and choose one depending on the platform for the steps for installing a recovery image from Bootrom. Please note that this will erase all data on the switch:
