Symptoms
Following topology is used:
Host 1 <-> [port1]switch[port2] <-> Host 2

Ports 1, 2 are CEP ports of the service VMAN test:
create vman test
configure vman test add ports 1,2 cep cvid 3061.
create l2vpn vpls new  fec-id-type pseudo-wire 3
configure l2vpn new add service vman test
Communication between Host 1 and Host 2 in CVID 3061 stops if enable CEP egress filtering:
enable vman cep egress filtering ports 1, 2
Following error could be detected in logs:
<Erro:Kern.MPLS.Error> bcm_custom_extr_vfp_action_mpls_inport_set(remove) failed for unit = 0 vpn = 0x22, port = 0x800001b vp = 0x18000073, rv = -13 (Invalid identifier)

Environment
  • EXOS 15.x, 16.1
  • All EXOS platforms which support MPLS feature
  • MPLS, VMAN
Cause
The root cause of this issue is a software defect xos0065845.
Resolution
  • Disable CEP egress filtering.
  • Upgrade to EXOS version where xos0065845 is fixed.
Additional notes
Currently xos0065845 is fixed in EXOS 16.2.2
