  • BlackDiamond
Cause
  • Customer was trying to add more than 8 CVID ranges on a CEP port and encountered the above errors in the log messages.
  1. configure vman Hawaan_Temp add ports 33 cep cvid 85 - 86
  2. configure vman VO004_Broadband add ports 33 cep cvid 107
  3. configure vman VO004_Broadband ports 33 add cvid 121
  4. configure vman VO004_Dedicated add ports 33 cep cvid 101 - 106

  6. configure vman VO004_Dedicated ports 33 add cvid 115 - 120
  7. configure vman VO004_Dedicated ports 33 add cvid 122 - 147
  8. configure vman VO004_Dedicated ports 33 add cvid 151 - 154
  9. configure vman VO004_Dedicated ports 33 add cvid 157 - 165
  10. configure vman VO004_Dedicated ports 33 add cvid 167 - 171
  11. configure vman VO004_FTTB add ports 33 cep cvid 110
  12. configure vman VO004_FTTB ports 33 add cvid 155 - 156

Resolution
  • There is a limitation in EXOS that you can only configure upto 8 CVID ranges on a single CEP port.
  • The available workaround is to enable vman cep egress filtering on a port where you want to configure more than 8 CVID ranges to avoid those errors.
  • - enable vman cep egress filtering ports <port_number>
