Symptoms
  • Users in a specific VLAN are unable to receive an IP address despite successful authentication via 802.1x, PSK or MAC authentication.
  • The DHCP OFFER from the DHCP server is seen at the ethernet port of the AP.

  • XMC/NAC
  • WiNG 5xx series APs
Cause
  • The AP is unable to process Broadcast DHCP OFFER's.
  • The AP is able to process unicast DHCP OFFER's.

Resolution
  • This is a bug documented in WING-42647 and WING-42829.
  • Please upgrade to 4.56.09 on XCA.
  • Else, upgrade AP image to 7.2.18.005R.
