If you wish to assign different VLANs to the same User Profile based on Device Location/IP Address/Subnet/IP Range Etc., first navigate to the VLAN page in HiveManager:
Configure > Common Objects > Basic > VLANs
You can then edit the VLAN object you wish to assign.
Here, I go to edit the "Staff" VLAN object:
From there, I've assigned VLAN 1 to the "Staff" VLAN object as default, but we can choose to apply different VLANs to devices using classification as well. We'll add VLAN 2 to the classification list:
After VLAN 2 has been added, we need to assign it a classification rule.
Since VLAN 2 is going to be on Floor 2, I will name the Classification Rule "Floor_2", click Add, and select "Device Location"
Note: If you do not have your maps set up, device location may not work - in that case you can assign by IP address/subnet/range.
With the Location window open, I can navigate my nested maps and select the second floor of the location I wish to assign for VLAN 2
After it is assigned, I can save the rule, save the VLAN object, and update my APs.
With this change, any AP assigned to that specific map location (floor 2 of the Sarasota location) will assign VLAN 2 to users who connect to the SSID with the "Staff" User Profile. All other APs that are not on that specific map will default to VLAN 1.
