VSP SNMP polling blocked by default Access Policy

Symptoms

After installing and configuring VSP 8000, SNMP polling is not working. 

Below log messages are observed:

0x00004746 00000000 GlobalRouter SNMP INFO snmpv3 connection access from IP X.X.X.X is denied by no matching policy

0x00004746 00000000 GlobalRouter SNMP INFO snmpv3 connection access from IP X.X.X.X  is denied by no matching policy 

Environment
  • Virtual Services Platform running any supported software version.
Cause

The issue is due to default access-policy.

Resolution

Disable or configure access-policy for SNMP servers. 

To disable access-policy use following command:

VSP(config)#no access-policy
