Information

Title"<Warn:DM.Warning> Error -11 writing Node Config to Flash" logs seen while saving configuration
Symptoms
Following logs seen while saving a EXOS switch configuration :

X450-G2# # show log
<Warn:DM.Warning> Error -11 writing Node Config to Flash
Environment
  • EXOS
  • Summit X430
Cause

This error message “Error -11 writing Node Config to Flash” will appear when there is a save already in-progress, and another process tries to update the configuration in flash.  If this continues to happen it could be because the EEPROM is corrupted.

Resolution
  • A NMS device could be causing these log messages by saving the configuration twice or doing a SNMP set during a save.  Check the time of these logs to see if it's the same time the NMS backups your configuration.

  • If you get this log message after every save attempt when nothing else is saving, the EEPROM could be corrupted.
    • Correct the corrupted EEPROM.
    • Contact GTAC for collecting and editing  EEPROM file from the switch
