Symptoms

Customer generated the license using voucher ID with wrong MAC address and request to re-generate the license with correct MAC address.

Environment
VSP/ERS
Cause
License Generation Failed - The Voucher ID you entered already has a license key generated.
Resolution
  1. Request license key or voucher ID from customer to verify MAC entered is incorrect as per informed.
  2. In voucher license tab, right panel “License Management” drop down list choose “Uninstall”.
  3. Once select “Uninstall” the license key show uninstall status.
  4. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​In same voucher page on right panel “License Management” drop down list select “Generate”.
  5. There is pop up show Voucher ID that use to generate license and please insert correct MAC address provided by customer and click “Submit”.
  6. Once click on submit license will be generated, go to license tab and download .xml file.
  7. Email customer the license .xml file to customer for license activation in switch.
