Symptoms
When trying to save a new Guest Portal in the Cloud Network configuration, a message pop-up occurs: Warning message 'Cloud' captive portal is not supported by all APs.
Environment
  • ExtremeCloud
  • firmware 4.01.01-33
Cause
  • The following points are currently seen in the Cloud network:
    • Access Points with an earlier firmware version.
    • Access Points that have not initiated a firmware upgrade after the backend and GUI have been upgraded
  • The GUI will pop-up the error message that the functionality is not supported on all APs.
  • The reason for the error message is to prevent users from configuring Access Points with new features/functionality.
Resolution
For all Access Points in the Customer/Partner inventory, please connect the Access Points to the network so the upgrade initiation can occur.
