TitleWiNG wireless AP behaviour when DFS detected
Symptoms
WiNG wireless AP behaviour when DFS detected
Environment
WiNG AP
Cause
Radar signal detected, AP selects a different channel
AP selects a different channel, it scans the new channel for radar signals (for 60 seconds).
If there are no radar signals on the newly selected channel, the AP enables beacons and accepts client associations.
AP will stay on new channel (by default) for 90 minutes before moving back to the original channel.
Resolution
Recommend using non-DFS channels if site is near sources of radar.
