Symptoms
  • EWC shows as "Contact Lost" in Extreme Management Center
  • Trace shows EWC responding with "no such object" message
  • MIB Tools shows "no such name" 
  • EWC responds normally to GET-NEXT request
  • EWC reboots with memory error: 
    Initiating Reboot.  Cause: Free Memory is Too Low.
Environment
  • ExtremeWireless
  • Version 10.11.04 and 10.11.05
  • Version 10.21.01
  • Extreme Management Center
Cause
Cause of this is a memory leak seen in 10.11.04 and 10.11.05.  This may also be possible in earlier versions of 10.11
Resolution
  • Workaround: In the EWC disable and then re-enable SNMP

Controller --> Network --> SNMP --> Click the "NO SNMP" Radial. Once disabled, save then wait a few minutes and turn the SNMP radial to the desired position and save again.
