Symptoms
User is not able to load a captive portal page. 
Environment
  • IdentiFi
  • All firmware versions
  • Internal Captive Portal
  • Guest Splash
Cause
Under captive portal configuration Use HTTPS was checked with no certificate installed on the topology
Resolution
  1. Access the VNS link in the webgui
  2. Select the captive portal WLAN Service
  3. Select the Auth & Acct tab
  4. Click on Captive Portal/Guest Splash Configure button
  5. Uncheck Use HTTPS for user connections (sends username/password in clear text)
  6. Click on Close button
  7. Click on Save button
