TitleWireless clients are no longer able to send data through an access point that has been up longer than 199 days
Symptoms
  • Access points stops forwarding traffic after 199 days
  • Client showing gray padlock unlocked and no IP Address in Client Report
  • Client is not authenticating. Not showing up in NAC
  • Some clients working others not connecting on same VNS 
  • The ap.log file shows the following messages over and over: 
Jan 26 20:30:04 cap: times: Invalid argument
Jan 26 20:30:08 cap: times: Invalid argument
Environment
  • All Access Points
  • IdentiFi Wireless
  • Firmware All
Cause
Packets are dropped. 
Resolution
Contact GTAC for further assistance.

Workaround:  Use the AP Maintenance Cycle option (9.21 code) to reboot the AP's during off hours once a week/month. 
On the IdentiFi Appliance, can I schedule all my access points to reset?

Additional notes
Issue has been observed occurring at ~100 days, but it is rare.
