TitleXCA: Multicast on FA Topology is not working / showing in the "controller_config.cli" file
Symptoms
Multicast on XCA FA Topology is not working.
Environment
  • XCA
  • Multicast
  • ExtremeCloudAppliance
Cause
The problem occurs when multicast filters are configured on Fabric Attach VLANs.
The Multicast filters are successfully configured through GUI. However, the "multicast" context does not exist in CLI, so the filters cannot be preserved on upgrade.

Resolution
Verified on build 04.56.01.0046.  Multicast filters in Fabric Attach VLANS are now preserved on upgrade.

multicast filters are now exported ...
VE6125:topology:testFA:l2#             multicast
VE6125:topology:testFA:l2:multicast#                 filter enable
VE6125:topology:testFA:l2:multicast#                 create 1 ws-discovery on
VE6125:topology:testFA:l2:multicast#                 create 2 ff02:0:0:0:0:0:0:fb/128 on
VE6125:topology:testFA:l2:multicast#                 create 3 mdns on
VE6125:topology:testFA:l2:multicast#                 create 4 224.0.0.16/28 off
VE6125:topology:testFA:l2:multicast#                 apply
VE6125:topology:testFA:l2:multicast#                 exit
