Titlempls process crashes with signal 11 while changing LSR id
  • System crash
  • Loss of network connectivity
  • Summit
  • Black Diamond
  • EXOS 16.1.1
Creating duplicate loopback address can cause changes to LSR id which in turn triggers MPLS process crash across all switches in the network.

Scenario would be as follows:
1) Create a duplicate loop back LSR IP (which might be the highest IP address than the existing one) in a switch and it will replace the existing LSR IP only by reboot.
2) Reboot the switch (manually) to make it effect.
3) Once the new LSR IP is in effect on the switch and it will update the information to all the switches which make all the switches crashes.
