SecureStack Interface Trap Shows rtr.0.x Instead of vlan

« Go Back

Information

TitleSecureStack Interface Trap Shows rtr.0.x Instead of vlan
Symptoms
Traps received from SecureStack reference ifIndex and ifName  uses values similar to ifIndex = 428 and ifName = rtr.0.5.  These system generated values are not traceable back to ports or vlans by the user.
Environment
  • SecureStack C5
  • Firmware 6.81.02.0007
  • Routed interface transition
  • Trap receiver
Cause
Issue is not showing mapping of vlan interface to rtr.0.x when a linkup/linkdown happens on vlan router interface. Also, syslog linkup/linkdown messages are showing unit/slot/port instead of ifName.
Resolution
  • Fixed in firmware 6.81.08 and higher
  • Fixed in firmware 6.61.17 and higher

Modified the routing command “show interface” to have rtr.0.x in output instead of repeating vlan xxx and modified linkup/linkdown syslog to have ifName instead of unit/slot/port.
