"show forwarding configuration" from a standby node in a stack doesn't reflect the config change of external table configuration correctly

Title"show forwarding configuration" from a standby node in a stack doesn't reflect the config change of external table configuration correctly
Symptoms
The "show forwarding configuration" output from a standby node in a stack doesn't reflect the change correctly after applying "configure forwarding external-tables none" and rebooting.
The output from the master node shows "none" in the "External lookup tables:" section correctly, but the output from a standby node still shows "l2-only" which is incorrect.

L2 and L3 Forwarding table hash algorithm:
    Configured hash algorithm:              crc32
    Current hash algorithm:                 crc32

L3 Dual-Hash configuration:  (Applies to X460, X480, X650 and X670 only)
    Configured setting:                     on
    Current setting:                        on
    Dual-Hash Recursion Level:              1

Environment
  • EXOS All
  • SummitStack
Cause
Configuration will be synced to only Master and Backup nodes. Hence the show command("show forwarding configuration") output from a standby node will not reflect correct configuration.

Resolution
This is the expected behavior. Only the "show forwarding configuration" from the master or backup node will show the correct table configuration after a config change.
