« Go Back

Information

Titletraffic to static FDB entries on the MLAG peers are being flooded
Symptoms
When i create a static FDB entry on an MLAG peer and the traffic is being forwarded via the MLAG peer, the traffic is flooded on that switch to all ports in the VLAN.
Environment
  • EXOS
  • MLAG
  • static FDB entries
Cause
This is expected behavior, as static, multiport and blackhole FDB entries are not checkpointed between MLAG peers.
Resolution
Create a second static entry on the MLAG peer to point to the correct port (possibly the ISC) to where the MAC address in question is located at.
